Poker became the best place for tournament players a few years ago. The WSOP-2020 played a decisive role in changing the MTT leader. Due to the pandemic, the distribution of bracelets was moved online. At that time, 54 bracelets were played for Poker and along the way set a guarantee record for one tournament. The sum of $27,559,500 got into the Guinness Book of Records. In the article we will deal with the filters of tournaments in the lobby.

How to filter tournaments by buy-ins?

The tournaments themselves are easy to find: the tab in the lobby is marked like that. PokerOK holds hundreds of tournaments every day. In the general window, they are located randomly and without a system. The most important ones are fixed at the top, but the rest will have to be searched. The software offers several ways to sort MTT. Let’s start with a search by the size of buy-ins. There are two options to filter tournaments:

1. In the window with the entire tournament schedule. Click on “Buy-in” in the upper column and the list of events is arranged according to the principle “from the most expensive to the cheapest”. Clicking on the “Buy-in” again will make a reverse list, where freerolls will be the first, and tournaments with buy—ins for $5,000- $10,000 will be the last.

2. Using buttons with buy-in ranges. There are 6 of them in total:

  • Micro. Up to $5.
  • Low. From $5 to $19.
  • Medium. From $20 to $99.
  • High. From $100.
  • Own. Independently set the minimum and maximum buy-in slider.
  • All. A tournament filter that works for Poker by default. Displays a list of all events.

The second method is preferable because it makes it possible to group MTT by limits and make a general impression of the tournament schedule. Professionals can choose suitable events and weave them into their daily routine.

How to sort MTT by hashtags?

Implemented in the PokerOK client and hashtag search. It works like this:

1. On the tab with tournaments, click on the search bar on the right side of the lobby. A list of available hashtags opens.

2. Select any of them and only the corresponding options will remain in the MTT list. For example, if you want to filter Omaha tournaments, then select “#plo”. The lobby will display exclusively MTT by PLO.

There is no point in using several hashtags at the same time — the software of the room does not support such a function. Hashtags filter Poker tournaments by different criteria:

  • number of players (#6max);
  • type of poker (#plo or #shortdeck);
  • tournament type (#freezeout or #satellite);
  • the relevance of the shares (#bounty or #earlybird_no_fee).

Most of the requests are in English, but there are hashtags in Russian.

How will the buttons help in finding tournaments?

There is another way to sort MTT on PokerOK. It will be useful for players who know the name of a specific series or a regular group of tournaments. The buttons are located between the tabs and the general list of events. Navigation was implemented simply: click on the button and only suitable tournaments remain in the list. For example, we want to look at the schedule of daily guarantees. Click on«Daily Guarantee».

The software supports multiple active buttons at the same time. If there are “MILLION$” events in the list with “Daily Guarantee”, then you need to disable the button. The enabled categories are highlighted in light gray, the disabled ones are dark gray.

How can I find free tournaments in the filters?

Freerolls are not the hallmark of the room. They are almost not held here, and those that are still on the schedule are timed to the tournament series. There are 3 ways to find free tournaments in Poker filters:

1. Filter manually by two clicks on the buy-in line. The first click will pull up the most expensive MTTs, and the second one will show the freerolls first.

2. Use the hashtag #freeroll.

3. Select “Own” in the buy-in filters and adjust the slider to the minimum values.

The most expensive PokerOK freerolls are daily GGCare and GGCheers. They are not available to all users. They register there by invitation, and the room issues them randomly. GGCare takes players who have offensively flown out of MTT or caught a bedbit. In GGCheers, they register for a collected royal flush or a hit jackpot. The exact logic of issuing invitations was not announced by the room. Freerolls are held in the Flipout format, where all participants go all-in in each hand.

To win in GGCare or GGCheers, you don’t even need to be online. Both MTTs have $100,000 guarantees.

How to increase the chance of success in PokerOK tournaments?

The rules of the room explicitly prohibit poker trackers and other software. Therefore, the results cannot be improved due to statistics. Clients were offered a compromise in the form of built-in tools. However, neither PokerCraft nor SmartHUD fully replaced the trackers. But SharkScope can improve the results. The service uses its own tools, because the prohibitions of the rooms do not affect it in any way. Tracks 99.9% of MTT Poker.

The strongest players are given additional badges, like stars or sharks

SharkScope helps to make the right decision during the game. Given the lack of information and the lack of statistics, it is SharkScope that will bring clarity. The service provides the following data on opponents:

  • overall game results;
  • ROI;
  • average buy-in;
  • current form;
  • highest career achievements.

To simplify it, thanks to the information from the Sharkscope, we can unambiguously determine whether the fish is in front of us or a professional player. Sometimes we will be able to do without in—depth analysis – a visual graph will suffice for evaluation.
